You'll have to have a bodyshop rebend the door hinges so the door closes right or replace them and fix the dent/repaint the two doors for a good color match...get a few estimates. May run 4-500.00

Nah, I highly doubt it. You might be able to try if you know somebody who works for Burton fairly well, but that's damage that you caused. If your edge is dented completely, that's not a cheap fix. It usually costs about $100 and it's a gamble whether or not they can successfully fix it.

I've never seen this done, but I spoke to a shop worker about a seriously dented edge, and he told me that if it was really serious, he'd remove the base around the broken part and try pulling the edge back out and straitening it (as straight as an edge can be) and then rebuilding the base. It's not an easy job and it could fail. The labor is the biggest part of the cost.

As for a cracked or snapped edge, if you really wanted to save the board, the edge would probably have to be relaid. Which is probably even more expensive.

Maybe it's time to buy a new board? Sierrasnowboard is doing 50% off all '09 decks today. If you don't like Sierra, you can get it price matched at DogFunk and Porter's Tahoe.

to be honest with snowboards the "warranty" is a little sketchy. The warranty covers manufacture defects only. what you got going on will be considered in their eyes "self inflicted damage due to abuse and/or normal wear and tear". They won't replace and unfortunately you're SOL

Do you mean your whole board snapped in half? Or just the side rail?
If the side rail:
If they won't fix it take it to a shop that can tune your board for you. It may cost a little extra but they can weld it back together with this hot glue gun-like thing.
idk... my ski coach fixed my skis like that when I screwed up the edge.

Hm..I have a Burton. They might replace it because its still under warranty. But, because you did the damage yourself they might say its your fault. But, give them a call anyway sometimes theyre cool about that stuff =]

if u cannot pay it all at once, pay it in installments. you should remember that kids learn from what their parents do and if you try to evade your responsibility here, your daughter will be a lesser person for it. also, it's in your interest to settle this privately rather than for the car owner to take you to court.

well your neighbor is probably just trying to get the money for himself not the car
im pretty sure he can sue you
but you can counter sue him after that for cursing at your 14 year old daughter and you would probably get at least $1000 because he caused "shock" to your daughter (im sure she herd does word before just play along)
but this would probably cause a neighborhood dispute and you would have to move.
